This Widow Found New Love After Husband Died, But An Old Photo Shows Them In A Past Life

In modern times, almost everyone’s wedding day is plastered all over social media. A lot of people also tend to hire a professional photographer and videographer to fully capture their big day so they can keep the memories alive for a lifetime.

Decades ago, things were quite different. For instance, all Ollie Holmes had from her 1950s wedding besides her own memories were a few black-and-white photographs from the day. The few shots she had showed her 18-year-old self beaming beside her 21-year-old husband, Wills, in a military uniform.

The couple went on to have two children together before they ended up parting ways. Shortly after her first marriage ended, Ollie was with a man named Carl who quickly became her second husband.

The couple spent decades together happily married and had four children. Sadly, Carl died in 2010 and Ollie was on her own again.

In 2012, Ollie was invited by her daughter to a holiday party and a man named Wills was also on the guest list.

Wills had lived the army life for years, but had married in 1955 to a woman he loved very much. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out and after two kids and approximately 10 years, they ended things.

According to the Daily Mail, Ollie ended up reconnecting with her first husband, Wills, at a family get-together and immediately felt at ease looking into those “lovely kind eyes” again.

After that second spark, things quickly escalated between the pair and even though 58 years had passed, Wills sold his home and got down on one knee to propose to the woman he claimed have “always loved.”
