Couple Still Enjoys Wedding Cake Stored In Their Closet 60 Years After Their Wedding

After you get married, it's pretty normal to save a bit of your wedding cake in the freezer to enjoy again on milestones such as your one-year anniversary. So it's no surprise that Ken and Ann Fredericks saved a bit of their own cake when they got married years ago. What is surprising, though, is that they're still enjoying it 60 years after their wedding day.

Many couples have an anniversary tradition that becomes even more special as the years go on. This couple had the brilliant idea of recreating their wedding photos 40 years after they got married, but Ken and Ann use their 60-year-old wedding cake as a way to celebrate their many years of marriage. I could maybe understand if they'd somehow managed to store it in the freezer for all this time, but when they revealed the real way they keep it fresh, I couldn't believe my ears! I've seen some spectacular wedding cakes before, like this one that literally lit up with Disney scenes, but there must be some serious magic going on with Ann and Ken's cake.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some cake, but even I wouldn't be able to stomach the idea of eating a 60-year-old dessert. According to this loving couple, though, their cake tastes just fine, and they've never even gotten sick from it! I guess the power of love really can do some amazing things… including keeping a cake fresh for over half a century. Congratulations, Ken and Ann!
