Dad Of 2 Spends Over A Year Building Epic 2-Story Playhouse For His ‘Little Princesses’

There are few things that parents won't do when it comes to making their kids happy. But one dad took that goal to a whole new level with the incredible backyard project he undertook for his kids.

Adam Boyd of Highland, Michigan, spent what I'm assuming was most of his free time for about a year building an incredible playhouse for his two young daughters, whom he calls his "little princesses."

Adam, who is the owner of a residential remodeling business called ATB Building, put his building, woodworking, and design skills to great use with this amazing project. When he shared images of the two-story, kid-friendly building, his project quickly went viral — and for good reason! Adam's playhouse is truly a work of art.

The 39-year-old dad wasn't initially planning on creating something so elaborate, but certainly outdid himself.

Adam and his wife Jennifer have two young daughters, 5-year-old Avery and 2-year-old Violet.

Initially, Adam wanted to build the playhouse as a small, modest project. But he eventually had a change of heart and decided that the sky was the limit.

"I wanted to do something special, something they would be proud of and one day tell their friends that their dad built this for them," Adam told People. "I got to a point where I just asked myself, 'Why stop now?'"

The resulting structure looks more like a miniature house than any playhouse I ever had as a kid.

The playhouse has two stories filled with everything a little girl could possibly dream of.

Adam tacked on several extra features.

Adam built his little girls a rock-climbing wall, a slide, a bridge, swings, and a loft. He intends to add a zip line at some point.

The best part? Little Avery helped her dad with the project! "That was the most rewarding part of it," he said. "She was sanding the crown molding with me. She loved it."

Hilariously, Adam had no idea if his daughters would even like the building or want to use it for its intended purpose.

"I didn’t really know how Avery and Violet were going to react," Adam told People. "I didn’t know if they were going to use it,  or if it was just going to be a really nice pink office for my business."

Unsurprisingly, the girls love it. They use it frequently — nearly every day — and have tea parties and dance parties in there.

Adam and Jennifer also visit the playhouse with their girls "almost all the time."

The house, which is about 24 feet tall at its highest point, has eight-foot ceilings on the inside, kid-size furniture (including a bench table and couches), a chalkboard wall, and plenty of toys.

The girls' aunt, Adam's younger sister Rachel Goldsworthy of Flashes of Life Photography, took photos of Violet and Avery enjoying their playhouse.

When Adam posted them to his business' Facebook page back on August 7, 2017, he was blown away by the overwhelming response.

Adam's post has now been shared over 48,000 times and commented on nearly 12,000 times.

Many parents wondered "Where can I get one?!" This led Adam to create a second business: Spoiled Rotten Homes, through which the dedicated dad will create other luxury playhouses for parents all across the country.
