Adam Rippon Gushes Over Getting To Move In With Fiancé After Years Of Long-Distance Dating

Adam Rippon and fiancé Jussi-Pekka Kajaala are settling into their lives together now that they are calling the same country home.

The couple, who got engaged in JP's home country of Finland earlier this year, have been dating long-distance for their entire relationship. Things became even more complicated with the pandemic limiting their ability to see each other. When they finally were able to get together, one thing was clear: that they wanted to be together forever.

It would take some more work, however, with JP now just settling in at home in Los Angeles. The couple seems excited to spend the holidays together and begin the next step of their journey.

Adam shared a photo of him and JP kissing under some heart-shaped skywriting. It's clear the couple is so happy to be together.

"After over a year a waiting my beautiful fiancé has finally moved to LA," he wrote.

"To celebrate I'm dressed as a mid level real-estate agent from Peoria, AZ."

Adam and JP have had an interesting go of their relationship so far. They met in 2018 after swiping right on each other on Tinder, a source close to the couple told People magazine.

In November 2020, the couple got engaged. "We didn't have the chance to see each other for most of 2020," Adam shared.

"The engagement was something we had talked about earlier so when I was finally able to get to Finland this November we felt like it would be the perfect time."

"We did everything together," Adam explained.

"We bought the rings together and picked them up at the same time. I really wanted us to have rings from Finland. I thought it would be fun to have a little piece of Finland with us all the time as JP is getting ready to move to Los Angeles hopefully by the end of the year."

The couple is planning on a courthouse wedding that's low-key while still being something they can share with loved ones.

"Since it'll be pretty hard to get both of our families together in the same place, we both want to have a courthouse wedding," Adam explained.

"We want to try and film the day and be able to share it with our family so that everyone feels included!"

Now that the couple has the same home base, they can focus on their next steps together.

"I'm excited to marry JP because he's just the best," Adam previously shared.

"He's kind, he's funny, and he's just as beautiful on the inside as he is on the out (which is a lot). He's my cheerleader and I'm his. I just love him a lot."
