This video is so emotional. The feelings in the room are palpable even from this side of the camera! Jeff Beals and his wife did a little spying on their grandma. After being distant for a few months, they showed up at her house with a camera and the promise of a very big surprise. They tell her to keep her eyes closed and sit down.
"It is with immeasurable joy that I introduce you to your great-grandson, Jordan Chase. Surprise!" she tells Grandma. The couple had been trying to adopt for nearly 20 years. Any parent looking to adopt knows that process is long and tedious. Birth parents can change their mind, and they often do. Legal proceedings can block adoptions, and they often do. For families who just want to do some good by nurturing a child, adoption can be disheartening. However, Jeff and his wife clearly never gave up. Grandma has the biggest most heartfelt reaction. In tears, all she can do is thank God.
"How did y'all keep this secret from me? How did it happen?" she asks, sobbing. "Oh, thank you, Lord… This is the last thing. I had no idea!"
