When you have a newborn baby, their crib is probably the most important part of the house.
Between naps and multiple check-ins during the night, a baby's crib is what keeps them safe and comfortable when they are outside your arms.
There are some pretty cute cribs out there to add prettiness and pizzazz to nurseries, like this beautiful moon-shaped one.
But once your adorable baby is big enough to be in their own bed, there isn't a lot that you can do with the crib — unless you're planning to save it for your next child or grandchild.
Since cribs are pretty big, it's hard to simply store them away, especially once your child has outgrown them, so it's easy to consider simply getting rid of them.
But think about it — With its sturdy structure and all of those slats, cribs are actually a gold mine of material to repurpose!
Your next favorite furniture piece could be waiting right in the nursery, you just have to check below to get a little inspiration!
Once your baby has outgrown their crib, it can be transformed into other cool and functional home pieces.
This can be done as simply as removing one side of the crib to create an awesome activity station for your growing toddler.
The end and the sides can be sectioned off and painted to create a cute-colored chair.
The slats on cribs are perfect for hanging towels, scarves, or even magazines.
They can also be hung with the crib's frame to create cool-looking china storage.
You can also attach the two ends of the crib to create a kid-size sectional.
This stunning crib was repurposed into a little lounging couch by simply removing one side.
The pieces can be disassembled and reconfigured into a bright outdoor bench.
They can also be made into stunning porch swings.
You can even make it so your child can use it a little longer by turning it into a bunk bed!
It just goes to show you that any old furniture piece can become something stunning with a little creativity!
