The World’s Saddest Bear Photobombs Couple’s Zoo Wedding

File this under "bear photobombs."

Sometimes at a wedding, the officiant will ask the guests, "If there is anyone here who thinks these two should not be married, speak now," and then some jilted ex-lover stands up and ruins the wedding, but rarely is the objector a bear.

So a bear didn't stop a wedding, but if bears could talk — this Minnesota bear would have.

Allison and Tabor Baumli got married at the Minnesota Zoo earlier this month and were grabbing a few pics near the animal cages when a bear stopped to photobomb their photo shoot.

In the photos, Allison and Tabor gaze lovingly into each other's eyes while the bear — real name: Kenai — gazes in horror at this display of matrimony. We can't tell if Kenai hates love or if he's sad that Allison is marrying Tabor and not him.

"We quickly posed the couple and the bear took one look at the bride and his jaw literally dropped," photographer Kristy Clarke of Chris and Kristy Photography said in a press release.

The groom was so bemused with the photo he shared it on Reddit and wrote: "So we got married at the Zoo, and this bear had an interesting first look reaction."

The couple were told by zoo staff that they could sneak a couple pictures after the zoo's closure but were warned that most of the animals would have already headed off to dinner.

Well… not Kenai.

"It honestly looked like he was amazed at her beauty," the photographer added. "His eyes then turned to the groom and he seemed to look displeased."

"It was then that we prompted the couple to kiss and the bear had the saddest look on his face," she added.

The reactions to the photos are almost as good as the photos themselves.

"He looks like that one guy friend who secretly had a thing for the bride and just finally lost all hope," someone on Reddit joked.

"How the bear knew how to officiate a wedding is beyond me," wrote a snarky Reddit user.

"What a #kodiak moment," someone shared on the photographer's Instagram.

Of course, there was no shortage of bear puns.

Kenai even became the subject of a Ross and Rachel Friends-inspired meme.

And a caption-this challenge. Someone wrote, "When you're at a friend's wedding and realize you left the oven on at home."

Although the photographers called the bear the "best wedding photo crasher ever," they later shared some actual photos of the bride and groom on their wedding day.

At the end of the day, the couple did not feel upstaged by the goofy bear, and the groom explained on Reddit that they specifically chose the state-owned zoo for their venue because they liked that their money was supporting the animals rather than going toward a country club or another more traditional venue.
