It's an extremely brave act when someone enlists in a branch of the military and risks his or her life to protect our country.
However, it's also an extremely brave act when someone has to stay strong while a loved one is away — not knowing what might happen day to day, but to just have endless faith that they will come home safe and sound.
On December 21, 2015, we saw just that in a young woman who had a boyfriend enlisted in the navy. It was around the holidays, and she was watching a live performance inside a mall when she was called up on the stage by one of the actors.
She went along with the skit and danced with the nutcracker who pulled her out of her seat, then sat down in a large black chair while she watched the performers from the best seat in the house! Little did she know that her lead role in the show had only begun.
Her military boyfriend was home, but kept it from her in order to pull off the most epic surprise. He climbed inside a bright red box backstage and was wheeled out to where his girlfriend was sitting and watching, unaware that he was hiding inside.
The actors stood next to the box and opened it on cue, with the young woman watching in amusement. And then, all of a sudden, her man in uniform marched out of the box — and the waterworks began!
Just when she thought that her boyfriend's homecoming was the best surprise she could have ever imagined, he stunned her once more when he reached inside a green orb containing something life-changing. But you'll have to keep watching to find out what it was!
