Danny DiPietro, a 10-year-old from Howell, Michigan, was in the car with his dad when he spotted something unusual inside the neighbor's garage. After arriving home, he felt something wasn't right and asked his mom if she could go check it out. Dawn DiPietro told her son not to worry, but Danny wouldn't let up.
Finally, his mom decided to check it out and found an elderly woman on the ground of the open garage waving her hands. The woman, 80-year-old Kathleen St. Onge, had slipped on some ice in her garage and was unable to get back up. Dawn called 911, and St. Onge rushed to a nearby hospital.
Doctors told St. Onge's family that she likely would not have survived another hour! The woman and her family are thanking Danny, calling him a hero. Thank goodness for that little boy.
