As a parent, have you ever had a mystery involving your child that you couldn’t quite put together but were determined to solve?
The YouTube channel Awesome tells the story of a mother, Bridget Elks, who was desperate for answers after every single one of her babysitters up and quit on her unexpectedly.
After a long interview process, Bridget hired Lisa to look after her toddler and 6-year-old full-time while she went back into the workforce after an unexpected separation from her husband.
Just as she was starting to feel good about her new life, just three weeks after starting in the position, Lisa left Bridget a message telling her that she was resigning from the job and would like her last paycheck. When the two crossed paths in person, Lisa refused to speak to Bridget and headed out the door.
After some convincing, Lisa finally divulged that it was Bridget’s 6-year-old, Marie, who was the defining factor in her resignation. After she found the exact same thing happening with six other nannies, Bridget needed to uncover the truth behind what occurring at her home while she was at work.

When she hired her seventh nanny, Meg, Bridget set up some nanny cams around the house just in case the same thing happened. Unfortunately, two weeks into the job, Meg quit as well, but Bridget could check the footage this time and get to the bottom of what was happening.
Bridget watched as her daughter Marie was fairly well behaved during the first week with the new nanny, but come the second week, things drastically changed.
There were several instances in which Meg politely asked Marie for help or to hand her something, to which Marie refused and stated that she was “the boss” in this situation.
