Brooke Shields doesn't often post photos with her young daughters on social media — but when she does, it's like seeing double!
The actress/model and her 12-year-old daughter, Grier Henchy, appeared together at the Hampton Classic Horse Show in New York on September 2, 2018. People couldn't help but notice that Grier looked eerily similar to how her mom looked back when she was a tween, in her early modeling days.
Obviously, children often look a lot like their parents (because genetics), but there are a few look-alike offspring who bear a beyond-uncanny resemblance to their famous parents. The striking similarities between Reese Witherspoon and her daughter Ava are often talked about, as are those of David Beckham and his son Romeo.

Brooke shared this rare family photo with her girls for Mother's Day 2018 and wrote that being a mom "is by far my favorite [job]."

We can't get over how much Grier (far right here) looks like her mom when Brooke was a preteen!
Brooke shared this vintage modeling shot from an ice cream book on Instagram earlier this year, and we swear she's her own daughter's twin here.
The only thing young Brooke Shields is missing is her daughter's vibrant red hair, which we're guessing Grier inherited from her dad, Chris Henchy.
Brooke's older daughter Rowan, 15, also has her mom's supermodel genes.
Rowan is currently the same age that Brooke was when she landed her first Calvin Klein campaign, though Brooke has said that she's not exactly encouraging her daughters to follow in her footsteps.
Brooke told the New York Post in 2017 that younger daughter Grier had been hinting that she wanted to model. But Brooke said she "won’t be the one pushing them into it."
"I think they need to really have as much of a conventional upbringing as you can in New York City, with kids their own age, and not be thrown into something with all the pressure," she continued.
In an attempt to protect her daughters from the hazards of the modeling industry, Brooke decided she'll let them model after college — if they are still interested.
"It’s a cutthroat and demoralizing business," she told Page Six. "Plus, they want you when they want you, and you have to be there for auditions and work, and my kids aren’t missing school."
Despite modeling for most of her life, Brooke studied at Princeton and emphasized how important school was for her.
"If I hadn’t had the intellectual piece as my friend, I would have been more devoured by an industry that has no loyalty whatsoever," she revealed in the same Page Six interview.
Brooke's strict policy on modeling is a bit surprising, especially given that other celebrities' kids are currently having fantastic careers on the runway.
Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia Gerber, Yolanda Hadid's daughters Gigi and Bella Hadid, and Stephen Baldwin's daughter Hailey Baldwin are all some of the top working models at the moment.
Brooke is fiercely protective over her daughters and told People in 2016 that she keeps her daughters' passwords so they have to ask permission to use apps on their phones.
The supermodel mom also admitted that it's hard to find the balance between freedom and protection.
"It’s the least that I can do, the rest is so hard," she said. "You don’t want to overprotect them and then they have no armor — so it’s a balance.”
Brooke also told People that she credits her daughters for helping her gain confidence, especially when she was faced with a bikini photo shoot earlier this year.
Of course, Brooke rocked it.
The model is 53 years old and looks amazing!
