New Bio Of Camilla, Queen Consort, Claims She’s Always Been ‘Suspicious’ Of Harry

Royal author Angela Levin has released a new biography of Camilla, Queen Consort. The book makes a lot of as-yet unheard claims, particularly about the relationship Camilla has had with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

For starters, the author writes that Camilla has always been "suspicious" of her youngest stepson. The book states, "The Duchess always felt quite wary of Harry and used to see him out of the corner of her eye looking at her in a long and cold way. She found it rather unnerving. Otherwise, they got on quite well."

Angela Levin also writes that Camilla tried to reach out to Meghan Markle in the beginning, even setting up lunches for the two. Camilla reportedly saw herself as something of a mentor to Meghan. As a source said, "She doesn’t want to see anyone struggling and she is fond of Meghan."

But according to the book, Meghan "seemed bored" and wanted to do things her own way. Still, Angela writes that this didn't deter Camilla from trying again. She and then Prince Charles are said to have invited Harry and Meghan to lunch at Highgrove, and Camilla organized the meal so that all the recipes came from Meghan's cookbook.

Camilla's friend Lucia Santa Cruz also attended the lunch and told the author, "As a surprise, Camilla went out of her way to make sure the lunch consisted only of recipes from Meghan’s cookbook, and that included a very hot salsa. It was a really nice gesture."

The author also spoke to a source who claims Harry has been much more negative about his stepmother in recent months. The source says that the treatment "could be part of his therapy process to relive certain things and he may want to blame someone else for his own mistakes. As I understand it his father and stepmother have become hateful in his mind. I’ve also been told that Meghan has been horrible about her too."

The source adds that the problems between Harry and the rest of the family have weighed heavily on Camilla. Angela writes, "What has happened and how [Prince Harry] has behaved has been very upsetting for her. There have been a lot of hurt feelings all round, but like all families you have to embrace it all and hope it will improve."

Ultimately, it seems like Camilla and Charles are united in one big area: They need to go to the US and make themselves seen and heard. As the author writes, "The Sussexes are more liked in America than in the UK, which can damage not only Charles and Camilla but the whole monarchy. The American issue has to be dealt with. The Cambridges have to go to the US to show who the real stars are. As will the Queen Consort and King Charles."
