This Emotional Moment When Cancer Survivor Tells Mother She’s Pregnant Will Give You Goosebumps

Charlie Dryden was diagnosed with a rare type of blood cancer in June 2013, and doctors told her she'd likely never be able to have children. She underwent surgery to remove the lump under her arm and before her last chemotherapy session in September 2013, Dryden was told all traces of the cancer had gone.

The good news didn't stop there for Dryden. Imagine her surprise — and overwhelming joy — when one year later, she discovered she was pregnant!

Dryden knew this news would completely shock her family, so she made sure to film the moment she told her mother she was going to have a baby. And it's a moment that'll give you chills!

There's nothing more special than finding out your daughter is going to be a mother. But this moment was overwhelming for Lynn Ward because this is news she never thought she'd get to hear.

In the video below, she hands her mom a card. Dryden's mother is speechless when she opens it and sees a photo of a positive pregnancy test. Her reaction is priceless.

At LittleThings, we’ve seen our share of rare births before — like the 61-year-old woman who served as a surrogate for her infertile daughter — and each story is more miraculous than the last.

At the end of the video, Dryden discusses everything she's been through over the past two years. Then she reveals the best news of all. On June 3, 2015, Dryden gave birth to her first child — a baby boy! Carter weighed 8 lb., 4 oz.
