In 2020, Carson Daly admitted that he and his wife, Siri, were at the beginning stages of what he's dubbed a "sleep divorce." While explaining that his wife was pregnant with their fourth child and the pair were having trouble getting comfortable in their bed together, he admitted that Siri served him "sleep divorce" paperwork to end their arrangement.

Carson says, "We've reconciled a little bit, so we're just sleep separated. So some nights I'm in the bed. Some nights I'm on the couch or in the guest room."
Back in 2020, Carson explained what their version of a sleep divorce was, telling People, "We're both pretty good-sized humans, and it just wasn't really working when she was in her third trimester, and I also have sleep apnea, which is very sexy for the ladies out there, I'm sure."
He added, "She couldn't get comfortable, so we were like a commercial you would see, kicking each other and just not sleeping. We woke up and we just shook hands like, 'I love you, but it's time to sleep divorce. It'll be the best thing for all of us.'"
Now Carson isn't sure if the pair will ever sleep in the same bed again. Interestingly, they aren't the only celebrities with this arrangement.
In 2010, HuffPost revealed that Kevin Jonas and his wife, Danielle Deleasa, began sleeping in separate beds not long after their marriage. As the story goes, the pair didn't spend a night together until after they got married, and Danielle soon found out Kevin is a prolific snorer. When things get bad, she sleeps in the guest room.
David and Victoria Beckham reportedly have completely separate wings in their home, which allows them to live separate lives when they feel the need to. A source close to the couple once told Us Weekly, "I think they quite like having somewhat separate lives. The kids are the common bond that will keep them united."
Melania and Donald Trump are another couple who not only sleep in separate beds but even book separate hotel rooms when they travel. Melania even delayed moving into the White House after Donald Trump won the election in 2016.
Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Brad Falchuk didn't move in together right away after they got married, which was largely due to how they wanted to co-parent their four kids. As she told WSJ Magazine, "I've never been a stepmother before. I don't know how to do it. We are still doing it in our own way. With teenage kids, you've got to tread lightly."
Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett also slept in separate beds, though the actor later regretted the decision. As he wrote in his 2012 memoir, "Farrah and I had grown used to our privacy and it stuck, and even when we traveled after that, we'd often get adjoining rooms. I always thought of our arrangement as terribly mature of us. Now I wish I could have back every one of those nights we slept in separate beds."
