It gives the everyday person the feeling that celebrities could truly end up with anyone. Here are some of the celebrities who have fallen for their bodyguards.
Heidi Klum
After her divorce from Seal, Heidi Klum revealed that she had begun dating her bodyguard, Martin Kirsten.
"He's been with our family for the last four years … He's cared for our entire family, mostly for our four children, helped us tremendously," she told Katie Couric.
"He's a great man … and we just got to know each other from a completely different side."
The two dated for a year and a half before splitting in late 2013.
Britney Spears
Britney Spears has been romantically linked to two of her bodyguards. In 2008, it was reported that she was dating her ex-Israeli soldier bodyguard named Lee. In 2010, she was linked to another bodyguard, named Ryan.
Kim Kardashian
In the early days of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, when the spin-offs were plentiful, Kim went wild in New York and had a fling with bodyguard Shengo Deane. It didn't amount to anything, but it was covered on the show as part of Kim's single-life shenanigans.
Amy Winehouse
In 2009, it was reported that Amy Winehouse was dating her bodyguard, Neville. Boston.com alleges Amy told friends, "He makes me feel safe as he's big and strong."
The two were connected for a few months before fizzling out.
Kate Gosselin
For years, there were rumors circulating that Kate Gosselin was having an affair with her married bodyguard, Steve Neild. He stopped working for her in 2014 but continued to be spotted with her through 2019. Kate has always vehemently denied the rumors
Scarlett Johansson
In July 2012, Scarlett Johansson was spotted having a fun fling with her bodyguard. Not only did he watch her back while she wore a white bikini, but he also oiled it up for her. The two tanned on a boat in the Mediterranean.
Jennifer Lopez
You may not have known this, but J.Lo's first husband was her bodyguard and personal trainer. Jennifer was married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, just 10 and a half months. It wouldn't be the last time she dated someone on the payroll, however.
Pamela Anderson
Pamela Anderson is currently dating her bodyguard. In September, her reps confirmed that she's dating Dan Hayhurst. It comes months after Pam's 12-day marriage to Jon Peters. Pam and Dan have been together since the beginning of the health crisis and are reportedly very happy together.
Cara Kennedy-Cuomo
OK, so Cara isn't dating her bodyguard. She is, however, dating a trooper assigned to be her dad's. The 25-year-old daughter of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo began dating 35-year-old state trooper Dane Pfeiffer a few months back. The two met when Dane worked security for the governor during the health crisis.
