Singer Chris Daughtry Mourns Loss Of His 25-Year-Old Stepdaughter Hannah Price

Chris Daughtry is going through a lot of grief after two major losses in his life.

On November 14, the singer took to Instagram to acknowledge the news of the death his 25-year-old stepdaughter, Hannah Price. In doing so, Chris also revealed he lost his mother to cancer days earlier.

"I am still processing the last 24 hours. I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken," the 41-year-old wrote.

"I just recently lost my mother to cancer but I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye and I was processing it privately. We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and it's another huge hit to our family."

"Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. They are truly felt and appreciated," he continued.

"I am now taking time be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this devastating loss. Hannah, I love you. I miss you. I wish I could hold you. This hurts so deeply ."

Hannah Price was found dead in her Nashville home on November 12. Her mother — Chris' wife, Deanna Daughtry — shared the news and her heartbreak in an Instagram post.

"My first born. I love you endlessly Hannah," Deanna wrote.

"Our family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love as we grieve the loss of our daughter Hannah. We are awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death. Our hearts are broken."

Hannah's death is reportedly being investigated as a homicide by the Fentress County Sheriff's Department, according to TMZ.

Hannah's difficult life makes the news of her death that much harder to swallow. Hannah and brother Griffin are Deanna's children with ex Randall Price.

In March 2018, Randall died by suicide. A then 23-year-old Hannah was living with a roommate at the time. Months later, an incident involving her roommate led to Hannah being shot in the face.

"A 15-year-old kid was trying to get into a Crip gang in Humboldt Tennessee and my friend at the time—my roommate I barely really knew him—took me somewhere where I did not feel safe," Hannah wrote of the incident at the time, per The Daily Beast.

"And these kids tried to kill him but they didn't have the gun cocked so by the time that I noticed they were trying to shoot at him I was trying to run the kid over with my car and I ended up getting shot in the face by this kid."

Hannah went on to explain that she was blind for two weeks following the shooting and had to undergo a nine-hour surgery. While she was in the hospital, her apartment was burglarized.

"It's been crazy but honestly I've had a very positive perspective about it all," she wrote.

In April, Hannah was arrested in a road-rage incident along with boyfriend Bobby Jolly.

"During the trooper's interview, both the driver and passenger admitted to using a gun to intimidate the victim but denied firing the weapon. During the search of the vehicle, a .22-caliber rifle was recovered," police said in a press release, per WBIR.

Bobby Jolly was taken into custody after Hannah's death, though authorities have not said whether he is suspected to be involved or if the charges are unrelated.
