College Student Thanks His Grandparents By Paying Off The Remainder Of Their Mortgage

Since the day we're born, our parents and grandparents do everything to make our lives comfortable and happy. They provide food, shelter, love, and happiness, and not to mention all the little things in between. For some of us, thanking them for their sacrifices isn't enough, so we go to great lengths to make sure that our parents and grandparents know exactly how thankful we really are.

Stefun Darts, a 24-year-old student at Houston College, promised himself in the second grade that he would help his grandparents retire to thank them for their sacrifices. And over 10 years later, his own sacrifices paid off, and he got to witness his grandparents' reaction the moment he presented them with a $15,000 "check!"

He writes in a Facebook post, "I couldn't stand you going to work at night, some nights I didn't even sleep knowing it shouldn't be like this."

Coming up with the money wasn't easy. Stefun says that he lived on pizza "all his life," and hasn't gone out with his friends at all since he was a teenager.

He presented a makeshift check to his grandparents, and the joyful moment was caught on camera! The pair couldn't be more thankful for Stefun's sacrifice. After all, without his help, they would have been paying for the mortgage for four more years.

But that's not all — Stefun even gave them a trip to the Bahamas!
