This is a story about sacrifice, and how love and kindness can come back to you like a boomerang when you least expect it to. Stephanie's beloved father restored his 1936 Ford sedan when he was just 16 years old. As a young man, the sedan quickly became his most treasured possession. In fact, he was so proud of it that he took it to car shows shows around the country and won first place many times over.
But in 1993, after having started a family, Dad painfully decided to sell the sedan. He did so in order to pay for Stephanie's seminary. He was heartbroken, but willing to make the sacrifice for his daughter.
"My dad talked about this car for as long as I can remember, always saying he would buy it back if he could find it," Stephanie wrote on YouTube.
In 2013, Stephanie began the search for her father's 1936 Ford sedan. His dream of getting the car back became her dream, too. And then, after a few months spent researching, hunting, tracking it down, and finally arranging the purchase, Stephanie and her family scrambled the money together and came up with a secret plan. Stephanie's mom was in on it the whole time, never telling her husband what they were up to behind his back.

"Finding the car, getting the money, and getting it halfway across the U.S. with no problems is truly a blessing from God!" Stephanie says.
Seeing the look of shock on dad's face, 21 years later, is enough to bring tears to your eyes. There's something so sweet about watching a man cry tears of joy in front of his loved ones.
