Duggar Family Fans Have A New Theory That Josh Duggar Is After Michelle And Jim Bob’s House

When you have 19 kids, you're bound to drum up a lot of drama. And that's one of the reasons why Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar still have such a huge fan base. Now that their children are getting married and moving on with their lives, there's plenty going on behind the scenes.

For one, there's the mystery with Jill Duggar Dillard. Jill and husband Derick have, according to them, been kicked out of the giant Duggar home during holidays. Fans believe that there's a money dispute between Jill and Jim Bob, but it's still a chilling maneuver. Derick and Jill aren't filmed as often these days, and instead they are working on having somewhat of a private family life for their two sons.

Another Duggar you don't see much of is Josh. Josh is the oldest and carries the most baggage. In fact, Josh has a history of troubled behavior. When he was a young teenager, he sexually assaulted multiple family members. Those allegations were the prime reason why 19 Kids and Counting was canceled. He didn't appear on any Duggar spin-off after that.

Josh is in the news again these days, but it's based on a fan theory. They believe that Josh and his wife Anna are trying to make a play for the Duggar family home.

There's one thing you should know about having 19 children. Obviously, you'll need a big home. According to InTouch Weekly, the big Duggar home is 7,000 square feet. It's also customized to hold a family of 21. It was built in 2006 and took a long time to complete — but it's worth it.

"The house grew, from two of them to three of them! It worked out perfectly," said Michelle Duggar back in 2011.  “Now we have added on a whole other part of the house, which is the girls' room and the garage down below."

It has four washers and four dryers in the same room. According to Michelle Duggar, the family typically does anywhere between seven to nine loads of laundry a day. There's also room for folding, along with a family clothes closet that everyone has access to.

The main house has also gone through plenty of renovations. It's a big property to keep up with, but the Duggar family wanted a place where their kids would continue to grow. Now that they're grandparents, it's always good to have space for everyone all at once.

Aside from sexual assault claims, Josh has also been suspected of cheating on Anna. He's also in the midst of many lawsuits. Together, Josh and Anna have six children. And a house like the main house would be the perfect place for those kids to grow up.

Fans believe that Anna may be sticking with Josh in hopes of inheriting the house someday. It might financially help them out, especially since Josh's last known job was as a used car salesman. Homeland Security raided his car lot, meaning that right now he might be hurting for money.

The topic was debated a lot on Reddit, where plenty of Duggar fans post thoughts and theories. They believe that the child who has the most grandchildren may eventually "win" the property. Right now, that's Josh and Anna. It's also possible that Michelle and Jim Bob take pity on him, even though his actions were all his own.

"I have been the biggest hypocrite ever," he wrote, per Us Weekly. "While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife. I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him."

Anna received a ton of support after all of Josh's news came to light. One fan even went viral on Facebook for stating that Anna was in the worst position possible. "She can't divorce because the religious environment she was brought up would blame her and ostracize her for it," wrote Jessica Kirkland. "Even if she would risk that, she has no education and no work experience to fall back on, so how does she support her kids? From where could she summon the ability to turn her back on everything she ever held to be sacred and safe?"

However, on Instagram Anna appears to be happy. Since the scandal emerged in 2015, she went on to have two more children with Josh. Much like Josh's parents, they've chosen to have a "theme." For Michelle and Jim Bob, that was the letter J. For Josh and Anna, it's the letter M. Baby Maryella Hope is the most recent child, born in November 2019.

If Anna and Josh end up getting the house, plenty of fans will be outraged. "Apparently the big house goes to whoever has the most kids when JB and Meech die," states Redditor yknjs-. "Hopefully that's exactly as long into the future as it takes for one of the other kids to catch up. I don't care who. I just don't want Mr Anna lording it over his victims in the big house."

No matter what happens, hopefully Michelle and Jim Bob have a plan for when that day comes. Splitting assets among 19 children isn't the easiest task, and it's possible many of the kids may still be living at the home when it happens. But it's definitely intriguing to question whether or not it serves as a sense of security for Anna.
