In 2016, it feels like every week a new form of technology is released. It's hard to keep up with what is new and what is now obsolete. When you buy an iPhone, Apple already has plans for the next 10 iPhones laid out. You may have Google glasses now, but in five months, we might be watching things on screens inside our eyelids.
Queen of comedy Ellen DeGeneres had the perfect idea for those of us who feel like technology is moving too fast. She decided to get a group of kids together and show them some older technology. She pulled out the original cell phone, a typewriter, and an actual answering machine. If you have ever thought you felt "old," the kids' reactions in this video will make you feel ancient.
One of the kids adorably called the original cell phone an "olden times phone." Meanwhile, another kid suggests the phone was already 100. No, not $100. He meant 100 years old. Their reactions are hilarious, but the best part of this video is when the kids try to use an answering machine. Only Ellen could come up with such a funny idea, much like the time she rolled out on a hospital bed after throwing her back out!
