Emma Heming Willis, wife of Bruce Willis, has a newfound passion since her husband's frontotemporal dementia diagnosis. She has now launched a new brand. Make Time Wellness prioritizes brain health in women's wellness routines.
Bruce was first diagnosed in March of 2022. It has been a long uphill battle for him and his loved ones.
A few months ago, Emma posted a photo of Bruce on her Instagram. "Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis," it read. "In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing."
She went on to share more about the state of her husband. "Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD)."

She then talked about the hardships that have come with Bruce's diagnosis. "Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis." She then linked to a full statement and more information about the disease.
Emma shared how she'd never heard of brain health until a doctor's visit a few years ago. She had gone after experiencing short-term memory loss and fogginess. Of course, she just chucked it up to being "mommy brain."
But after learning about the term, she changed her approach to her health. "My brain was suffering, and I could feel it," she said. "Why is the focus on the rest of our body when really our brain is our biggest asset and the one that we should be really looking after?"
With the help of Helen Christoni, the two founded Make Time Wellness. They've released their first products, which include wellness drink powders and gummy vitamins.
"I am so happy to share a passion project that I have been working on over the last few years, @maketimewellness," Emma shared in a post. "Make Time is a wellness line for busy women. Our supplements support 'Your Brain, ♀️Body and Beauty' in that order. Our Make Time social impact program will be donating a portion of every purchase to @wearehfc. I am committed to using my voice to raise awareness for caregivers & dementia because its through action, education and conversation that creates change ."
