Enrique Iglesias Opens Up About What’s Changed Now That He And Anna Kournikova Are Outnumbered

Enrique Iglesias is loving life as a father of three! The 44-year-old singer and his longtime love Anna Kournikova welcomed a daughter in late January. Their baby girl joins the couple's 2-year-old twins, Lucy and Nicholas.

The news of their latest addition surprised fans. The super-low-key couple does a great job of keeping their private lives out of the spotlight. News of Anna's pregnancy was unknown, even by some of the couple's family and friends.

While Enrique values his privacy, he has no problem talking about how much joy fatherhood brings him. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Enrique confirms he and Anna are very much living the ups and downs that come with a new baby.

The long hours are good for Enrique, who is gearing up to go on a co-headlining tour with Ricky Martin this fall. Fatherhood is just one of many things that will bond the longtime friends and collaborators.

Enrique Iglesias is adjusting to life as a father of three. Enrique and Anna Kournikova welcomed a little girl on January 30. Both shared photos of the sweet moment to Instagram with the same caption. "My Sunshine 01.30.2020," they wrote.

Enrique and Anna are already parents to 2-year-old twins Lucy and Nicholas. Like her pregnancy with the twins, Anna's recent pregnancy was kept quiet. While Enrique keeps many aspects of his family life private, he has no problem talking about how much he loves being a dad.

Shortly after announcing his upcoming tour, Enrique spoke to Entertainment Tonight about what it's like to be a father of three. "I'm not sleeping, but I'm having a great time! I mean, I wouldn't change it for nothing in the world," Enrique beamed.

Enrique will embark on a co-headlining tour with fellow Latin sensation and father Ricky Martin. The 21-city North American arena tour will kick off on September 5 in Phoenix, Arizona. It will hit many major cities across the US before wrapping October 30 in Atlanta.

Ricky is a father of four. He has 11-year-old twin sons Matteo and Valentino, 1-year-old daughter Lucia, and 4-month-old son Renn. The 48-year-old notes that US tours give him more chances to spend time with his kids.

"That's a good thing about the US, you can always go back home when you have a couple days off — or, maybe bring them," he explained. "But, I mean, we're dealing with babies."

Enrique also enjoys the chance to spend quality time with his kids. Even with his newborn daughter, he feels a responsibility to do his part. He changes diapers and gets up for feedings. “I’m pretty hands-on,” Enrique revealed.

Ricky recalls feeling the need to do it all on his own, regarding it as "obsessive."

"[I'm] like, I don't need help, I can do this," Ricky noted before making a surprising confession. "And then you fall asleep feeding, which has happened to me."

"True story, I wanted no help, not even my mother," he continued. "I wanted to do it all on my own and then I fell asleep feeding my child, that's dangerous. That's when I said, 'OK, I think I need help.'"

"Well, I need help all the time," Enrique laughed. "I need a lot of help."

Enrique is sure to have his hands full with three kids under 3, but he's looking forward to the future. He can't wait to see what his children will become. If given the choice between being performers like him or sports stars like their mom, he'd rather they play sports.

"I can honestly tell you, if I had to pick one, definitely sports," he remarked.  "Yeah, I would say yes, just because I love sports. I love golf, I love tennis, and I would not mind seeing one of my little girls play tennis."

"I don't want to become one of these obsessive fathers, but I told Anna, I said, 'You can be the best coach in the world,'" he continued. He joked about how he and Anna challenge each other to tennis matches. "I think I can beat her, but that's what I say all the time. But she lets me win."

While touring with babies (or missing them, depending on what each dad decides) can be challenging, the friends are happy to have finally found the opportunity to work together.

"We've known each other for so many years and we wanted to do this for quite a while and now is the time. We felt like it was the perfect time," Enrique noted.

"It just feels right," Ricky added. "At this point in our careers, we don’t have to do anything we don't want to. We want to do this and this is the time."

They're also in talks for a song together. "We're working on that," Ricky explained. "That's the idea. It would be the perfect timing for something special."

While they expect a little friendly competition, they won't be getting on each other's nerves on tour.

"Honestly, I think there'll be friendly competition," Enrique joked. "The reason why I say that is because, you know, I've watched so many of Ricky's performances. I'm a huge fan of his music. So obviously I'm gonna be watching him offstage and I'm gonna be learning a lot. You know, so in a good way."

"We're gonna put together a great concert for them, for the crowd," Ricky added. "It's gonna be two hours of crazy adrenaline. We do it right or we don't do it. It's gonna be amazing!"
