Are Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert expecting a baby? A recent video the they posted to Instagram has their fans all speculating that the dance couple might have a “bun in the oven.”
The impressive video — a combination of cooking and dance — features Hayley standing behind a kitchen counter with a mixing bowl in front of her. She’s wearing a black shirt and an apron, and there are three dancers hiding behind her, using their arms to make it look like Hayley has eight hands.
Apparently, the apron and the placement of the bowl have a lot of fans convinced that Hayley is pregnant.
One commenter wrote, “Hmmmm… I know what this means!!!!!”
“Why do I feel like they are trying to say something,” another fan said.
Not everyone was so subtle about their speculation, though. The fact that the video has a baking theme has a lot of fans thinking it’s a reference to having a “bun in the oven.”
“Are you telling us that you’re pregnant?” one commenter wrote. “If you are pregnant congratulations!!”
Someone else wrote, “She has to be pregnant!! 😍😍😍😍.”
Hayley and Derek met on the set of Dancing with the Stars and announced their engagement on June 2, 2022. They married a year later, on August 26, 2023.
Just a few months after their wedding, on December 7, 2023, Hayley felt disoriented and went to the hospital. At the time, Derek shared that Hayley “was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy.” A few weeks later, she had a cranioplasty, then began her long journey to recovery.
In 2024, Derek told E! News that he and Hayley are looking forward to expanding their family. “We definitely want to have a family eventually,” he said at the time. “We’ll see what’s in the cards, what’s on the horizon. Little dancing children running around.”
The couple hasn’t confirmed whether there is any hidden meaning behind Hayley’s baking/dancing video, but hopefully their dreams of having a family come true when they’re ready.
