As we get older, we rely more and more on people to help us. We've seen it in our grandparents, and for some of us, our parents. And one day, we'll rely on our children to help us with various tasks and to be our eyes and ears from time to time. But what happens when our children aren't around?
That's when strangers come in. Good Samaritans have been known to do anything from saving lives from a deadly crash to handing our cash to strangers in need. Now, one man is being called a hero for saving a war hero!
World War II veteran Roy Lopez is 98 years old. He was sitting on on his front porch when, just as he opened his front door, a complete stranger hurdled over the fence and into his yard.
This was a man named Andres, who was driving by the house with his girlfriend when he saw the elderly man — and what was behind him: smoke. The house was on fire!
While his girlfriend called 911, Andres stopped Roy from going back inside his home. And thanks to him, Roy and his family are happy the veteran is alive! Though many of the pictures and memories in the home were destroyed, at least the family stayed intact.
Please SHARE if you know someone in your neighborhood as heroic as Andres!
