A Grandmother Is Saved By The Power Of Prayer

When Michelle Mock received a text alerting her to a tornado warning, she had no idea that she was only minutes away from one of the most terrifying moments of her life.

As the winds began to grow stronger and louder, Mock's daughter Paisley began to pray. Suddenly, the house shuddered and the walls came crashing down. Mock rushed her 2-year-old grandson down the stairs and the three generations moved back into the house's kitchen. Though fear gripped them, Paisley continued to pray.

When Mock looked out the window, all she saw was darkness. As the wind reached a fever pitch in its screams, the windows began to shatter, and the deafening roar of the wind was a sure sign of the end. As Mock looked to her frightened daughter she lost hope that they would survive. But Paisley kept praying.

Suddenly, the storm was gone as quickly as it came. The silence was nearly as deafening, but they were safe; somehow the family survived without a scratch.

When the fire department arrived, they were amazed that everyone was OK.

"For the amount of devastation in the house, someone was definitely looking over her," said the local fire chief upon inspecting the damage. It turned out a huge old oak tree had shattered the 150-year-old house.

Though the family is safe, their house is in shambles and is in an unlivable condition. Unfortunately, the family did not have insurance, and while it will be hard to get back on their feet, at least they have each other's love and the support of a whole community to help them out.
