Teen’s Proud Grandparents Wave To Her On Bus Route To First ‘Proper Job’ Every Day

Not everyone is able to have a relationship with their grandparents growing up, but if you are one of the lucky ones, then you know how special the connection really is.

The best part about having grandparents is that they love us unconditionally, just like our parents. Of course, unlike our parents, they are not the ones responsible for disciplining us.

That's not to say I haven't been told to mind my manners by my grandma on more than one occasion, but our bond always let me know it was done with love.

Grandparents are also usually the type who celebrate their grandchildren simply for earning a participation trophy.

However, when you actually make a life-changing achievement, there is no one who will be prouder than your grandma or grandpa.

Someone who can relate to the heartwarming pride of her grandparents is 17-year-old Rio Smith.

She recently landed her first "proper" job, and her grandparents celebrate in the most adorable way every day.

The Scottish teen's bus route to work just so happens to pass right by her grandparent's house.

So every morning, they go outside to wave to their granddaughter.

According to Metro UK, Rio is extremely close with her grandparents, and they are more proud of her than anyone for landing her first job after school.

The truth is, who couldn't use a little moral support on their commute to work?

Rio calls her grandparents "the most genuine, caring and loving people you'll ever meet."

She tells Metro UK, "They aren't like normal grandparents, they are fun and act so much younger than what they are, which is so funny at times."

If you look very closely at this photo, you can see Rio's grandpa waving enthusiastically from his backyard.

Rio explains that "Gran was busy that morning, that's why she isn't in the video but they normally do it together."
