Plenty of women are running from any signs of aging. Not only does it remind us of our inevitable mortality, the aging process is often uncomfortable and inconvenient. For women though, there is one bright spot: You no longer have a menstrual cycle. And with no cycle, the possibility of you getting pregnant is slim to none.
It can be a real selling point when it comes to other perimenopausal symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, and mood swings. But a great grandmother apparently defied all types of odds by getting pregnant at 76 years old.

The nurse asked if she was expecting this.
A woman in Atlanta has captured the attention of the internet after her great-granddaughter recorded the moment she learned that she was expecting. In the video, a nurse walks in and informs granny that she is pregnant. Shocked, Granny responds, “What?” When the nurse repeats herself, Granny says “What?” again. Finally the nurse asks, “Were you not expecting it?” The woman, laying in the bed answers emphatically, “No!”

People are calling it a miracle.
The video of this moment has gone viral with over 41 million views on TikTok. While some are taking the whole thing as a biblical type of miracle, we’re betting that it’s clearly a joke. The nurse is laughing as she delivers the news. Still, Miyah and the good folks on the internet are having a great time playing along.
Some don’t think granny is ready.
“The amount of times she said ‘what’ She ain’t even gonna hear the baby crying,” one TikToker commented.
Other people wanted to discuss grandma’s sex life.
Someone wrote: “If You can hunch, you can hear. Talking bout some damn ‘Huh.’”
Some questioned her sense of decorum. “Granny being fast in 2025 is crazy,” on person proclaimed.
Many are concerned for the child.
Several users tried to imagine what life would be like as the child of a woman who gave birth at 76.
