The kids that do the best in class are the ones that are really engaged in what they are learning about, and even having fun while doing so. When a teacher does this right, like the teacher who danced to an awesome choreographed routine with his students, they'll actually look forward to going to school, rather than totally dreading it. And because they're having fun, they wind up retaining much more of the information.
PS11 obviously knows all about making school fun. But rather than have a few "cool" teachers, their entire staff gets in on the plan. As you watch this next video, made by the students and staff of PS11, you will probably notice that every single person has a huge smile on their face… And how could they not? Singing "Happy" through the hallways, painting, swimming, playing soccer, hula hooping and having dance contests, we're sure these kids have plenty to look forward to each and day they head out the door to school… And the teachers don't have it too bad, either!
