Hoda Kotb, Today show cohost, has opened up about the fears she has as a parent. She shared that when she hears one of her kids scream for her, she immediately worries that something has happened. "I think something's broken, and I'll go tearing up the stairs only to find them looking for something," she said. The 59-year-old has two children: Haley Joy, 6, and Hope Catherine, 4.
To deal with some of the anxiety-inducing aspects of parenting, Hoda shared that she typically uses Thursday as a self-care day and does something relaxing.
Though, like any parent, Hoda worries sometimes, her age is not something that worries her, regardless of what other people say. On the December 14, 2023, episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna, Hoda said she doesn't care what other people think about having a child at an older age (Hoda became a mom at 52).
"I am so happy and fulfilled with my decision that I don't feel any ounce of shame because my dad died when I was in college. You get your parent for as long as you get your parent and they lay a foundation that you cannot shake," Hoda shared.

Though other people might not agree with her, Hoda sounds pretty confident in her decision and loves being a mom. "It was the best decisions I've ever made," she said.
