Jenna Jameson Shares Intimate Postpartum Photos To Show The Reality Of Motherhood

Jenna Jameson is publicly embracing her post-baby body changes, and fans are loving it.

The former adult film star gave birth to her daughter, Batel Lu, a year and a half ago. Earlier this year, she began trying to shed the weight she'd gained during pregnancy, and she's been very open about the ups and downs of her journey on social media.

Last week, Jenna posted before and after photos of her body on Instagram. On the left side, Jenna is one month postpartum, wearing only underwear and a sports bra. On the right, she shows off her current slimmed-down look, many months after giving birth.

"This is the truth and reality of what us women go through after having a baby," Jenna wrote in the caption. "Exhausted, in love… and wondering who the hell the person staring back at them in the mirror is."

The mom of three admitted that she never thought she'd show the "before" photo to anyone else, let alone debut it publicly on Instagram. But her openness about her body's changes is inspiring tons of other moms.

"I want other [mommies] to know we are all alike," Jenna continued.

"Yes I lost my weight, yes I am proud. But I am much more proud of the mother that I am."

Jenna gave birth to her daughter, Batel, in April 2017.  She also has two 9-year-old twin boys, Jesse and Journey.

Like most moms, Jenna's body went through a ton of changes during her pregnancy and after childbirth. She gained a significant amount of weight.

And unlike what some magazines would have you believe, it wasn't easy for Jenna to simply "snap back" to the body that she was used to.

In fact, she didn't even start trying to lose the weight until her daughter turned 1. Over the past year, the star has been incredibly open on social media about her body journey to help other moms feel less alone.

"We all struggle," Jenna wrote in her recent empowering Instagram post. "But we can take control back. Back from society who makes us think we need to 'SnapBack.'"

A year and a half after giving birth, Jenna's body now looks incredibly different, thanks to her ketogenic diet and exercise routine.

But she still encourages fellow mamas to embrace their own bodies, no matter where they're at on their journey.

"Yes I lost my weight, yes I am proud. But I am much more proud of the mother that I am," Jenna continued.

"So many women are made to feel not good enough if they don’t 'SnapBack'," she wrote in another post. "Well, I’m here to say to all of you that you’re beautiful. You’re beautiful because you did something MIRACULOUS… you gave life."

Her approach is a refreshing shift from the usual post-pregnancy weight-loss talk.

Even though Jenna's body is slimmer and more toned now, she keeps it real with commenters.

She still experiences cellulite, loose skin, and a "mom belly" — though you can't necessarily see it in the angle of the current photos she posts.

Jenna admits that she still struggles with body image and self-acceptance.

"I compulsively weigh myself every morning. I wish I didn't," she captioned another post.

These are struggles that most women, especially moms, go through. Famous or celebrity moms are no exception.

We all need a reminder sometimes that it's OK not to feel perfect or confident 24/7. No one does!
