Jennifer Garner posted a photo of a harsh note that she received from her daughter on Instagram, and other parents can completely relate.
"When I grow up, I want to be a fun-killing mom, just like you!" the note reads in impressively neat kid handwriting. Why, thanks.
Jennifer has three children with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck: Violet, 12; Seraphina, 9; and Samuel, 6. Seraphina wrote the note, but something tells me this isn't the first sassy comment Jennifer's gotten from her kids. I mean, what is motherhood without the occasional mean comeback about what a lame mom you are?
"Is this a nine year old burn? Or the ultimate compliment?" Jennifer, 46, captioned the photo.
After the Peppermint actress posted the photo, her comments quickly filled with stories from other moms about similar burns from their kids.
"My son called my husband and I 'dream crushers,'" one woman wrote.
"Yeah, I've totally been called a 'fun-sucker' too!!" another mom wrote.
Ah, the joys of parenthood.
Jennifer Garner is an actress, activist, and devoted mom. She has three children — Violet, 12; Seraphina, 9; and Samuel, 6 — with her ex, Ben Affleck.
She also happens to be excellent at Instagram.
Despite never actually posting her children on social media, Jennifer somehow manages to post some extremely relatable mom content.
Like selling Girl Scout cookies, or the way she becomes a human duffel bag every time she exits her car with her kids.
Most recently, Jennifer posted a note that she received from her 9-year-old daughter, Seraphina.
The note is a little sassy, to say the least. It says, "When I grow up, I want to be a fun-killing mom, just like you!"
"Is this a nine year old burn?" Jennifer captioned the photo. "Or the ultimate compliment?"
One thing is for sure: Jennifer is not the only mom whose kid has accused her of not being "fun."
In the comments, other moms chimed in with their own stories of being savagely burned by their kids.
Because, as one mom wrote, "no one gives a backhanded compliment like a kid."
Sometimes these remarks are not even backhanded. They're just straight to the point!
And yes, these comments definitely make a lot of moms roll their eyes.
But on the other hand, it's good to know that no mom is alone in this, as another commenter wrote.
And in the end — these kids will one day realize how lucky they are to have moms like these!
Jennifer definitely made a wise choice when she decided to post this note for other moms to see.
This almost tops the amazing mom meme that she made back in September.
Momming is hard. But a sense of humor makes everything much easier to deal with.

And Jennifer's definitely got that part down.
