Kate Middleton is "not ready to return to work" quite yet, though she is "keeping an eye" on the charity she's been working with and briefly returned to social media to update people on a project she's been working on.
The Princess of Wales was briefed on the impact her work has on young farmers who face psychological struggles, according to royal correspondent Cameron Walker. “This should not be seen as a return to work by the Princess of Wales, but I have been told she’s read the report and has been briefed on it,” Cameron told GB News.
“But this will stem from her work from when she started being a working member of the Royal Family, where she was working closely with people suffering from addiction and mental health problems," he continued. “What she found is all of these issues tend to stem from a poor start in life. So the first five years of a child’s life."
On Tuesday May 21, 2024, a video was shared to Kate and Prince William's Instagram account in honor of Mental Health Awareness Week. It highlighted the work Kate has been doing behind closed doors. Though she doesn't appear in the video, she and William both made contributions to its production.

It's believed that Kate started working on the farming project before her diagnosis. She reportedly had been the “driving force” behind the charity. “The princess cannot lobby the government. She can’t be political," Cameron added. "So I think she’s trying to encourage the private sector to do as much as they can in sport and create societal change."
