Kelly Ripa has always been incredibly, and sometimes hilariously, open about her sex life. But in her memoir, she opens up about a scary incident involving sex with her hubbie, Mark Consuelos.
In Kelly's memoir, Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories, she reveals the worrisome incident. She writes that it happened about six months after the birth of their first child in 1998.

They were in the middle of having sex and Kelly went completely unconscious. It was obviously a terrifying moment, especially her her husband.
The next thing Kelly could recall was waking up in the emergency room. While it wasn't clear why she passed out, she was told by doctors that she had two ovarian cysts. "My eyes shift between the fuzzy images on the screen, the remnants of my ovarian tormentor, and Mark happily snacking away," she writes.
She continues on about how in the incident impacted her. "Sex can be so traumatic I think, and yet one of us is completely undaunted," she explains. "There he is, happily munching on the saltines now and ordering a second apple juice. Mark could be at a movie, or a spa. Instead, I'm flat on my back wondering when the other two cysts will burst."
Of course, Kelly is making light of the situation. But it had to be quite scary. She jokes about another terrifying realization, too — the clothes her husband had put her in before bringing her to the hospital. She recalls looking down and realizing she was wearing an 1980s French-cut leotard, a pair of oversized track pants, and "f–k me" Manolo Blahniks.
"Also, here is my husband, who is, dare I say, stylish, well-dressed at all times, and yet he dressed me like a dime store prostitute in my time of need," Kelly writes. "It's still baffling to me to this day that this is the best costume for the day that he could find for me, to the point where, when I was on the stretcher, I thought I was dreaming; I was having a nightmare. I didn't realize I had come to."
Kelly and Mark seem to have a really incredible relationship. They've been married for 28 years. The talk show host credits Mark for allowing her to write so freely in her new memoir.
"He allowed me to share these intimate moments because frankly, I think he found them entertaining," she told Haute Living. "At the end of the day, I don't think he would still be in this marriage if he didn't find me entertaining."
