To Celebrate 100 Days Of Kindergarten, This Little Girl Got Into Character

Celebrating 100 days of school might seem strange to us, but when you're in kindergarten, just starting out this whole "school" thing, 100 days is a big deal!

It's totally worthy of celebration, and Jacob Martin's five-year-old daughter's school knows this well.

To celebrate the kindergarteners' big day, the class holds a party and the students dress up. The costumes reflect the theme of 100, which was also the counting and numbers unit the students had been learning up until Day 100.

And Jacob's daughter was all about it. With the help of her parents, she transformed herself into a 100-year-old woman — complete with cane, stoop, and attitude.

Of course, she's still adorable (it's kind of hard not to be when you're five!), but she's also got some serious acting chops, throwing herself into the character of her 100-year-old alter ego.

But then, it's not surprising that kids love dressing up and getting into character, even if those characters might be slightly alarming.

Check out this kindergartener's amazing costume — and her startling acting skills — below!

To celebrate completing 100 days of kindergarten, Jacob's daughter's school, located in Germany, decided to throw a "100" themed party, complete with 100-year-old kindergarteners!

This costume was mainly created by her parents, but the attitude and posture, Jacob says, was all his daughter's doing.

"I think she nailed it," he says… and we can't help but agree!

Outfitted with a shawl, cane, glasses, and purse, the centenarian look was further emphasized by adding some wrinkles with makeup, and a combination of baby powder and hairspray made for a perfect white coif.

Though this isn't the first time someone very young has dressed up as someone very old. It's actually a pretty popular choice!

According to Jacob, his daughter immediately fell into character once in the costume, totally "hamming up the character."

Of course, this isn't the first impressive — and unexpected — costume either of his daughters have worn. These Braveheart-inspired costumes were worn after a visit to Scotland.

You can see more of Jacob's photos on his Flickr account. In addition to being quite good at crafting miniature centenarians, he's also a great photographer!

And be sure to SHARE this silly transformation!
