No One Wants To Help Little Girl With Her Kind Act, But She Persists Until Someone Listens

Leah Nelson in only 10 years old, but she wants to change the world. Not only that, she is actively doing something about it, fulfilling her ambitious dream.

“I just want the world to be a better place. I mean, there’s many issues and people are mad about the issues, and if you’re mad about the issues, why don’t you take action to try and change them?” Nelson says.

Those are some pretty lofty goals. Unfortunately, many people don't want to hear her out. Nelson started the project "Becuz I Care," a program where she gives free bracelets out to strangers to encourage them to perform a kind act for another person.

After the kind act is completed, they give that person the bracelet to encourage them to do the same. It's a pretty great idea, but when Nelson tries to approach strangers, they often assume she is selling something and dismiss her.

However, the 10-year-old from West Sacramento does not give up. She tirelessly persists until anyone will listen. When the strangers finally do, they applaud and even hug her.

"In a world with so many issues, let’s just show other people that they are valued," she said.
