Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon are proud of their kids, who both crush it when it comes to each of their talents.
Kyra and Kevin are parents to two adult children, Travis and Sosie. Sosie has followed in her parents' footsteps, acting in Mare of Easttown, 13 Reasons Why, and Narcos: Mexico.
Travis is also in entertainment. The 32-year-old has dabbled in acting but is currently passionate about his industrial metal band, Contracult Collective. Proud mom Kyra got to see her son in action recently and shared a celebration of his talents on Instagram.
Kyra Sedgwick found herself in Daytona Beach, Florida, for a very special reason. On November 13, she got to watch her son, Travis, and his band, Contracult Collective, perform at Daytona International Speedway. Travis, who goes by Svart, does production and vocals in the industrial metal group.
"My insanely talented kid rocked the house yesterday and I was lucky enough to be there!! @welcometorockville @contracultofficial @svrtcntraclt @pma82 #proudmom," she wrote.
"Wish I was too," Kevin commented.
Kyra loves watching her children come into their own in their respective fields, but she also misses having them home.
"As a mom, if you do your job well, your children leave you," she told Good Morning America.
"So it's weird and it's hard."
"But I'm grateful to have adult children now, but I think initially it's like, 'Wait, what are you talking about? I birthed you and I took care of you your whole life and now you're leaving me?!'" she continued.
"It felt wrong."
Kevin has also been keen to gush over their kids in the past.
"The proudest accomplishment of my life is my children," he previously told Closer Weekly.
"Being a parent [means] bringing them up and trying to teach them and have them learn by example to be good, decent, compassionate, hardworking people."
The couple is proud to have raised two independent kids.
"We didn't have the kind of relationship with our kids where we would say, 'You've got to do this,'" Kevin said.
"Our kids are very independent. My son refused to let me teach him how to ride a bike or how to swim. Those are dangerous things! But both my children were a lot like me when I was a kid — they didn't really come to us for advice or help."
