Daughter Put Up For Adoption Finally Stares Into Her Mom’s Eyes 48 Years Later

When Rosie Marie Clagett was a teenager, she had a very, very difficult decision to make.

She was pregnant, but she knew that as a single teen mom she wasn't going to be able to give her baby the best life at the time. She decided to give the baby up for adoption under some very strict conditions.

The family had to be a loving, married couple. They also had to be catholic, they had to send the child to catholic schools, and finally, the baby had to be told that she was adopted.

She never wanted to mislead her baby from the very beginning, even before she was born.

Due to a law in Ohio, adopted children haven't been able to locate their biological parents for the past few decades. However, recently that law changed. Now, 400,000 adoptees in the state of Ohio have been able to get access to their own birth certificates, and to find out the names of their biological mothers.

Molly Caldwell, now 48, arrived at her mother's home after dark one night. In the video below, you see the very first time that the two of them meet after the birth. You can see the sheer happiness on both of their faces.

Can you imagine never meeting your mother until you were almost 50 years old? Yes, she had a loving family for all of those years, but there was always the wonder about who gave her life. And for mom? Imagine the relief when she was able to hold her baby in her arms at 67 years old.
