If you have ever listened to country music (or even if you haven't), you've probably heard of Loretta Lynn. The "First Lady of country music" is a legend in the industry, and at age 82, you'll still find her performing in front of thousands. As it turns out, though, Loretta isn't the only one in her family to carry some talented musical genes. Her granddaughter, Emmy Rose, also seems to have been made for the stage. When you hear her sing, don't be surprised if you get chills down your spine.
Emmy chose The Band Perry's "If I Die Young" to sing in front of her grandma's audience. At first, she seems a little nervous, and who could blame her? Performing such a popular song in front of so many people at age eleven has to be incredibly intimidating! But just like this man who dazzled his listeners with his cover of a Tim McGraw song, Emmy proved that she, too, has what it takes to be a country music star. Just like this young girl whose voice is delightfully vintage, Emmy has already shown us that she's got talent beyond her years.
This young lady is bound to follow in her grandmother's talented footsteps. If she has such a great voice at eleven years old, imagine how amazing she'll sound as she gets older! Something tells me we're going to see a lot more of Emmy Rose in the coming years!
