Grandparents Think They’re At Open House Until They Find Family Photos On Kitchen Counter

The older you get, the more difficult it can become to be separated from your loved ones. Kids grow up to become parents themselves, they buy new homes and move away. The distance can breed loneliness and isolation, especially for older generations.

The video below was posted to YouTube in December 2014. In it, a man has lured his dear old dad to an open house near his home in Florida that he thinks is still for sale.

Dad walks on commenting on the nice hardwood floors, casually perusing the interior — not knowing his own son is secretly videotaping him from the other room.

Then Dad notices a collection of photos spread out on the kitchen counter. "What is this?!" he cries. "These are our pictures!"

Utter confusion sets in. He says the realtor must have gotten a hold of the photos somehow. He slowly heads outside to check out the backyard patio as a surprise guest pops out of the bathroom and quietly follows him outside.

It's his grandson, Cole… who doesn't even live in Florida!

"What do you think of the house?" Cole asks his grandpa.

"You guys are gonna give me a heart attack!" he screams. But he still doesn't realize the big surprise.

"You want to see my room?" Cole hints again.

That's when the man behind the camera reveals what's really going on — and the new house in which they stand already has a new owner.
