Meghan Markle Turns 40 As The Royal Family Celebrates And Harry Reportedly Whisks Her Away

Celebrations are in order: Meghan Markle turns 40 years old on August 4, 2021.

The Duchess of Sussex was greeted with birthday messages from all senior members of the royal family. The Queen kicked things off with a trio of photos shared to her Instagram story and Twitter account alongside the caption, "Wishing the Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday today!"

That message was promptly followed by messages from Prince William and Kate Middleton's accounts, as well as from Prince Charles and Camilla's accounts. Fans and observers alike were moved by the birthday wishes, especially as this has been a particularly tense time for the family.

Fans of Meghan Markle have also taken it upon themselves to celebrate their favorite duchess in a really noble way. The group, who has dubbed themselves the Sussex Squad, are making donations to Meghan's favorite organizations and tagging the posts #Meghans40celebration.

Many believe Prince Harry has whisked Meghan away for a special trip to celebrate her big day. If the rumors are true, it will be fun when we eventually find out where the two ended up.

Other sources indicated that Meghan planned to host a low-key party in honor of the milestone birthday. Harry and Meghan don't have a history of making the biggest deals about birthdays, and given the state of the health crisis these days, it's not likely they will break tradition.

When Meghan turned 36, she and Harry went to Botswana and worked with the organization Elephants Without Borders. On her 37th birthday, they attended the wedding of friends. They celebrated her 38th birthday at home in Frogmore Cottage, and last year it's believed they also celebrated at home due to ongoing restrictions.
