Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are going to have a pretty big blended family!
Most fans of the newly engaged couple know that Megan is mom to three boys. She shares 9-year-old Noah, 8-year-old Bodhi, and 5-year-old Journey with ex-husband Brian Austin Green. What fewer people seem aware of is that Machine Gun Kelly (born Richard Colson Baker) is also a dad.
MGK has a 12-year-old daughter, Casie Colson Baker, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon. Emma isn't a public figure, and they've worked together to keep Casie out of the spotlight throughout the years. She has attended some events with her dad, and more recently, she's made more appearances on his social media accounts.
Casie Colson Baker was born to MGK and then-girlfriend Emma Cannon in July 2009. MGK was just 18 when he became a father, but by all accounts, he's always been serious about his bond with his daughter.
He also has a friendly relationship with Emma. He praised her in a 2020 Mother's Day post.
"my daughter has an amazing mom,” the songwriter tweeted.
"big love to all the young moms out there killin it."
MGK has kept Casie out of the spotlight, but he's also enjoyed the moments where he does get to hit the town with his daughter. On occasion, he's brought her to an award show, and every time, the two are the cutest pair there.
MGK recently spoke out on The Kelly Clarkson Show about how he wishes his daughter could keep her innocence and wonder for life forever.
"I was just walking behind my daughter in the airport the other day and she just has this walk, it's this pure bounce, she's so excited for life, like she's so young in her life," he said.
"I've experienced so much in my life. I just pray to every God that exists that she just keeps that bounce forever and that no one interferes with that."
"Like I will take any amount of torture that would come her way if it can just be on me so that she can keep that forever because … it's worth living for to see that," he continued.
"Her voice is so sweet, and it's not tainted with what the world has to offer."
MGK also shared during that interview that he trusts his daughter's taste when it comes to his projects.
"I trust her opinion more than I trust my own now," he shared.
"Like, she has her finger on the pulse of what's hot, or if I'm doing a song and it's the right one, she'll confirm it."
In 2018, MGK told Billboard that his daughter influenced his sound.
"I wanted to make her proud, and a lot of fans saw that as soft, and it's like, no, it's the most beautiful thing you could do. [My music] is my gift as a father to my daughter. Here’s something that you can listen to that still has my pain in it and still is teaching you something that I want you to know," he explained.
"I'm not that great of a speaker, I don't like watching my own interviews, I think I suck at talking, but one thing I can do is move my pen, and if that's how I gotta speak to my daughter, then let me do that."
