Seeing music live, in my humble opinion, is one of the greatest things that you could spend your extra money on. It's literally a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity every single time because music is such a temporary art. Every single performance is going to be different from the ones before it, as well as from the ones to follow.
Even if the band is playing the same songs every show, it will still be a different experience. The crowd will be different, the artists could be in a different mood, and you could be with different people or in a different place.
Plus, you never know if the artists will bring on a special guest, or sing a song you'd never expect.
Chris Martin from Coldplay is arguably one of the more well-known musicians of the past decade or so. He's sung with all sorts of big stars, including Beyoncé and Bruno Mars during this past year's Super Bowl halftime show. That's just about the biggest, most star-studded stage you could ever dream to perform on in America.
But no matter how big of a rock star you are and regardless of whether you have "Has Sung With Beyoncé" listed on your resume, you still have to put your children's needs above all else.
When Martin's son sent him a video message during his concert, he had one simple song request. The two of them love the film Back To The Future, and he wanted to hear his dad, who he hasn't seen since he's gone on tour, to sing a song from it.
But who joins him onstage? Martin even called it a "dream come true!"
