Man Questions Why His Wife Is So Cranky Every Morning, So She Draws Brilliant Comic To Explain

Moms work nonstop day in and day out, and they make it look easy. It's hard to really grasp how much work it all is (and how exhausting!) if you haven't walked a mile in a mom's shoes.

One woman decided to explain her constant exhaustion to her husband by drawing him a comic to illustrate what she's up to while her husband is soundly sleeping.

Mattea Goff says this isn't the first time she's drawn her husband a comic, but it is the first time she decided to share it with the internet. She posted the funny five-panel comic on Facebook, and it was just a matter of time before moms everywhere answered with a resounding "SAME."

Mattea spoke to BuzzFeed about the origin of the comic: "My husband is a fantastic guy, but sometimes if you haven’t lived something, you don’t understand it. I’ve given [him] drawings before, but this particular set of drawings came from my lack of sleep and my desire to get my point across."

Mattea and her husband, Kris, have two daughters. Seleste is 5 years old, and Aurora is 5 months old.

Kris recently asked his wife why she's often tired and cranky after waking up.

Being that she was exhausted, Mattea couldn't find the words to get her message across to her husband, so she drew him a comic instead. The two found it so funny that Mattea decided to share her comic on Facebook.

The comic explains that while her husband gets to sleep, she gets woken up repeatedly by their 5-month-old, whom Mattea breastfeeds.

But waking up and feeding the slap-happy baby is only the beginning.

She sits there thinking about all the different things she has to do for baby while dad with his "useless nipples" continues to snooze.

She also calls Kris out on his blanket hogging, making it that much more relatable.

While dad wakes up refreshed and ready to spend time with mom and baby, mom isn't quite so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

She never expected the post to blow up the way it did. The post has since gotten over 60,000 reactions and 200,000 shares.

Moms all over the internet were tagging their friends and family in the super-relatable post.

Some critics thought that Mattea was trying to dad-shame. But she shut that down immediately, saying breastfeeding was her decision and therefore her burden to bear.

This is just the beginning for Mattea, who as a result of the comic's popularity has started a page for her comics on Facebook called STICK With Me.

She hopes to create more content that rings true for moms and helps explain their plight to those who haven't experienced what they're going through.

Mattea's comics are another wonderful way the internet bonds moms together and lets them know they aren't alone. We could all use some more camaraderie, especially when dealing with dads with useless nipples and slap-happy babies!
