12-Year-Old Saves Grandmother’s Home From Foreclosure

Noah Lamaide is a 12-year-old from Wisconsin. The home his grandmother lives in is a century old and has been in the family for three generations.

His grandma, Janice, isn't a wonderful maternal figure in just his life, but also in the lives of the 100 children she has fostered in her life.

So when Noah heard that her house was being foreclosed upon, he knew it wouldn't only affect her, but all of the kids who would be left out in the cold without her.

That's when he knew he had to do something. But what can a 12-year-old, whose own father is currently out of work, really do to help his grandma pay her debts?

All he had was the internet.

"My Grandma, incase you don't know her has a heart of gold. She has given so much to our community since I can remember!!!" Noah wrote on the website he created, called Noah's Dream Catcher Network.

Though we don't hear it enough, people really do love their grandmas; just watch this short film on people describing what their grandmas mean to them.

"He's always putting others before himself, even as a little child," Noah's mother Jill said. "I think he got it from seeing the foster kids come into my mom's home. A majority of them said, I wish 'I could be Noah.' "

Then, something amazing happened. Little by little, Noah began to receive checks in the mail. Eventually, they added up to the amount he needed.
