Dad’s Peeled Carrots Keep Disappearing — Then He Turns And Sees His 3-Year-Old’s Masterpiece

If you've ever gone to an art museum, you might have come across something called "installation art."

That's when the art is attached, in some way, to the space itself. Whereas a painting or a statue can be moved around and displayed pretty much anywhere, an installation changes depending on where it is.

And sometimes, it appears right in your very kitchen — and it's hilarious. Especially when there's a 3-year-old behind it.

It was a normal night, and 3-year-old Patimosi Olive, who goes by "Osi," was in the kitchen while his parents were making dinner, which involved peeling carrots.

"We had started to notice that the carrots were disappearing when we started working on other parts of the meal," Osi's father Samson Olive says. "We turned around and found the missing carrots as new ornaments on our drawer handles in our kitchen."

Carrots are a perennial favorite in cooking. They're full of vitamins, they add bright color to any dish, and sometimes they even turn up with lost jewelry. And for Osi, they were the perfect additions to the simple black drawer pulls in the family kitchen.

While making dinner, Samson Olive started to notice that his peeled carrots were mysteriously disappearing.

When he turned around, he was greeted with this: some new kitchen décor from his 3-year-old son Patimosi, or Osi for short.

It's not clear what inspired Osi to do this. Three-year-olds are kind of mysterious that way, but whatever the thought process was, Osi was very pleased with the result.

"As to why he did it, all he told us after was, 'Makes me happy!'" his dad tells us.

"He is always doing funny little things like this and we are glad that this seems to have brought even a little more happiness to others who have seen it."

"He's a funny little 3-year-old with a great imagination and lots of creativity," Olive says. "He is always doing funny things that keep us on our toes."

What else does Osi do?

"He likes to open all the drawers in the kitchen and leave them that way. He also likes to put kids' bowls on our cat's head and sing happy birthday to him."

Olive's cousin, Madison, posted the photo to Twitter, where people immediately loved it. It is pretty impressive how he managed to center the carrots on the handles so well.

And he might have even started a trend.

One Twitter user, Amanda, re-created Osi's carrot installation in her own kitchen. Maybe this will be a new internet fad! Anyway, it would be better than most of them.

Do you like the carrot look? Did your kids ever pull a bizarre but hilarious stunt like this when they were little?
