Laura Mazza, a mother of two, recently took herself to KFC. She happily sat down at her table with a tray of crispy chicken, french fries and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy.
While chowing down in delight, two musclebound men walked into the restaurant wearing their workout clothes.
Laura minded her own business.
But as the men placed their orders, one of them looked over at Laura and decided to approach her just as she was dunking her fries in hot sauce and gravy.
What followed was an interaction so surprising that Laura shared it on Facebook, but from this male stranger's perspective.
And by the end, I was cheering…
Sometimes, you just need to indulge in your fast food cravings.
KFC can be a great place to do this.
Laura Mazza is a mother of two and the witty blogger behind the "Mum on the Run" blog and Facebook page.
Recently, Laura took herself to her local KFC and placed an order. She happily sat down with a tray of chicken, fries and mashed potatoes with gravy.
While chowing down, two musclebound men walked in wearing their workout clothes.
One of the men ordered popcorn chicken with potatoes and gravy. He then noticed Laura sitting at her table and approached her.
What followed was an interaction so surprising that Laura shared it on Facebook, but from this male stranger's perspective.
"I look at her and notice, she's kinda round, kinda chubby. I stare at her a bit while she goes from dunking her fries in hot sauce to potato and gravy and shoving it in her mouth with delight," she wrote as if she were the male stranger.
"Excuse me, do you know how bad KFC is for you? THAT much KFC?'" Laura wrote from the man's perspective.
"She looks at me confused and with disbelief, probably because it's ironic that I myself am eating popcorn chicken but I take the time to explain to her that I in fact eat very clean and was eating this because my lean body that was made from Zeus and Athena, the Greek gods, needed some fat."
"I then explained to her I was a personal trainer and I could stop her from jiggling when she walks (yes they were my EXACT words) and help her get fit and hot for summer to find a man… and that surely she'd rather that, than looking pregnant and chubby and single."
What this rude stranger didn't know (not that it really matters) is that Laura was 14 weeks pregnant with her third baby at the time.
The expecting mom simply wanted to satisfy a pregnancy craving with some crispy KFC.
The last thing she wanted, or deserved, was for a complete stranger to tell her that what she was doing was wrong.
Laura's followers love her for her candid and relatable posts about the way in which her body has changed with each pregnancy.
Over time, Laura has learned to own and accept her weight gain, stretch marks and beautiful post-baby body.
After he finished his unsolicited lecture, Laura sat there in stunned silence.
"She studied my face. Probably thinking how could one individual be so beautiful?" she wrote sarcastically.
"And not at all that maybe I was either drunk, she was being punked, or that I genuinely suffer from narcissism and I'm not aware."
"No she definitely looked at me, no studied me, and thought this man could save my life.
This beautiful beautiful man."
Lol!
But instead of losing her cool and flipping out on the "personal trainer" right there in the middle of the restaurant, Laura dunked another french fry into the gravy, looked back up at the rude stranger and said…
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear anything you said because all I could think about was how much food you have stuck in your teeth while you were talking."
She then pulled out a toothpick.
"Use this and start again."
