Prince Charles And Camilla Reveal Their Christmas Card For This Year And It’s Very Much Them

The royals love to delight us during the holiday season, don't they? Today Prince Charles and Camilla dropped their 2019 holiday card, which is pretty casual as far as royal holiday cards go.

The holiday card features the pair driving a 1953 MG TD at the British Classic Car event in Havana, Cuba. The two were on an official royal trip in the Caribbean in March 2019. The trip was part of quite an eventful 2019 for both the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. The message on the card is simple and to the point: "Wishing you a very happy Christmas and New Year."

Their card release follows the leak of Prince William and Kate Middleton's holiday card earlier this week. In his tweet sharing the photo, Benjamin Wareing wrote, “The Cambridge Household family Christmas card this year features The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their three children, Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and Prince George on a motorbike and sidecar."

Prince Charles and Camilla also shared the card on their official Instagram page. The caption reads, "Here is this year’s official Christmas card from The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

"The photo was taken in Havana by Ramon Espinosa during the Royal visit to Cuba earlier this year."

The royal family has been offering several glimpses into their holiday decorations and travel plans this year. Today the Queen herself boarded a passenger train for her annual holiday retreat to Sandringham. The monarch was said to have bought a first-class ticket for £37.50.

The Queen also recently offered a glimpse into the Christmas decorations at Buckingham Palace. A photo posted to Instagram earlier this month has a caption that reads, "Over 20,000 twinkling lights are glistening across Windsor Castle. This year a magical 20-foot-high Nordmann Fir tree is on display in St George’s Hall.

"The trees have been decorated in a Victorian fashion with velvet and gold, in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the births of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert."

Prince William and Kate Middleton also offered a glimpse into their holiday decor. They paired the image of a large tree adorned with lights with a message about mental health at the holidays. "Christmas can be an exciting time, when family and friends get together to celebrate.

"But not everyone has a support network to celebrate with, and those that do can still feel isolated and alone.

"Look around you. Be aware of those who are struggling over this period. And tell them about @GiveUsAShoutInsta."

William and Kate also recently filmed A Berry Royal Christmas, this year's royal Christmas program. The pair hosted the staff and volunteers from several charities and organizations in the UK, including The Passage, which provides resources for the homeless, and Evelina London Children's Hospital.

The Duchess of Cambridge also recently spent time with children as they picked Christmas trees with the organization Family Action. The Royal Family shared, "Today, Her Royal Highness stepped into the ‘Elves Enchanted Forest’ to make Christmas decorations, prepare food for the reindeers and post letters to Father Christmas.

"Family Action continues to work directly with vulnerable or disadvantaged children and families through both local and national services. The charity’s services include perinatal mental health services, counselling and therapeutic support and the mentoring of children, young people and adults."

Earlier this week, a member of the British Air Force shared a photo of the 2019 holiday card he received from Prince William and Kate. The family of five are seated in and around a vintage motorbike, with Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the sidecar.

The duchess also helped out at Family Action's "Elf Workshop" and was all smiles while doing so. The Family Action patronage was only recently handed down to Kate from Queen Elizabeth herself. The Kensington Palace caption reads, "Family Action was founded in 1869 to help families in difficulty by giving them practical help and support — the new patronage aligns with The Duchess’s longstanding work on the early years, and the importance of supporting children and families during this seminal period of their lives."

One of the charities, The Passage, was also a favorite of Princess Diana's. In a post shared to their Instagram account, Prince William and Kate shared, "The Duke first visited The Passage as a child in 1993 with his mother, and has made additional visits at various points over the last twenty-five years — in February 2019 he became Royal Patron of the Passage."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have so far kept pretty quiet this holiday season, which is in line with their ongoing six-week break from royal duties. Fans of the couple are hoping for a holiday card update or even a glimpse of Archie celebrating his first Christmas, but so far the account has shared only a photo of Meghan from December 2018.
