Prince Harry Admits To Worrying One Of Prince William’s Children Will Be A ‘Spare’

Prince Harry recently released his memoir, Spare, in which he details what life was like growing up in the British royal family. The book's title is an obvious dig at the dynamic in his family; that is, he is the "spare" and Prince William is the "heir."

Harry has also recently admitted that he worries this same dynamic will play out in William's family, especially among his three children.

Harry says that while William has been clear that his children are not Harry's concern, he still worries. He says, "If I see wrongdoing and a pattern of behaviour that is harming people, I will do everything I can to try and change it."

He continues, "As I know full well, within my family, if it’s not us, it’s going to be someone else. And though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare. And that hurts, that worries me."

Harry goes into more detail about how he feels about his family in his memoir. In the video below, Daily Mail journalist Charlie Lankston talks with Access Hollywood about Prince Harry's revelations in his book.
