Ree Drummond, who is arguably better known as The Pioneer Woman by her legion of fans, recently shared that her husband and their nephew were involved in an accident. The pair were reportedly driving Himmat Fire Trucks and responding to area fires when the trucks they each piloted collided.
Now Ree has revealed that her husband broke his neck and that the entire experience could have been very serious: "Ladd was stiff but able to walk around immediately after the accident, so he refused medical attention." He later drove himself to the hospital and learned that he had broken his neck in two places.
Ree continued, "And evidently one of the two fractures was very close to being catastrophic. Ladd was transferred to Tulsa and had surgery to stabilize one of the fractures."
