Philly Nurse Crochets Adorable Infant Scrub Outfits To Celebrate National Nurses Week

Nurses are incredible for so many reasons. And in recent years, they've really gone above and beyond to keep people healthy. They've put in extra hours and risked their own lives to do it, too. That's why it's so important to make sure people in this profession feel appreciated.

To make her fellow nurses smile, one nurse at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Philadelphia did something super special. She crocheted tiny scrubs for the newborn babies to wear. She said she thought it would show appreciation for the nurses, as well as the families in their care.

Of course, the results were super adorable. While the newborns can't actually say "thank you" to those caring for them, seeing them in these tiny outfits was sure to give the nurses a boost. It's definitely not the typical pink or blue newborn onesie, either, so the new parents were likely thrilled, as well.

National Nurses Week happens in May and ends on May 12, which is the birthday of Florence Nightingale. She is known as the founder of modern nursing, having helped professionalize the skill set for women during her lifetime.
